Retail Sales Representative

Are you a self-starter who thrives outside of an office environment? At Acosta Sales & Marketing, we partner with major manufacturers to represent their Fortune 500 companies like P&G, Hostess, Kelloggs, Nestle, Campbell's brands. Our Convenience Store Retail Sales Representative will increase the in-store availability and on shelf presence of these consumer products in an established territory. We are a company of exceptional people who take pride in our work and no day is ever the same!
Our Representatives have an assigned route they travel to each week. You'll work this territory and have flexibility to efficiently plan and execute your schedule per day. Through relationship building with your store key decision maker(s), you'll deliver solutions and achieve company goals by increasing distribution, introducing new products, selling promotions, and merchandising.

Meet client expectations regarding sales and call visit coverage by delivering sales and coverage results against quotas across assigned territories by client.
Execute retail initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc.) as assigned.
Execute selling initiatives
Deliver 100% coverage every reporting cycle of assigned retail territory according to client frequency plans.
Achieve new and existing item placement according to client speed to shelf guidelines.
Perform such duties as checking date codes and maintaining full distribution and display of products while ensuring adherence to approved plan-o- grams (shelf maps).
Clean, stock, rotate product and merchandise displays.
Install displays and point of sale signage.
Reports trends and observations regarding outdated product, unbalanced stock, out-of- stock situations and point of purchase requirements. (To include competitive products).
Take photos as requested.
Submit all call and coverage information into Acosta's proprietary portal a minimum of twice daily on days worked.
Receive and handle client point of sale/ merchandising equipment and transport for your use with your in-store execution.
Follow company policy in execution of work and time reporting.

High School Diploma / GED
Prior retail experience (to include Retail Sales) preferred, but not required.
This position requires reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, valid vehicle insurance and the ability to drive a car for extended periods of time.
Must be available Monday through Friday.
Occasional overnights may be required
Occasional weekend work (Demos and Food Shows).
A familiarity of your assigned geography and home location and must reside within this geography
Strong communication skills.
Basic word, excel and power point software knowledge preferred, but not required.
Home wireless internet preferred
Ability to use mobile tablet and/or cell phone technology
Ability to navigate with GPS technology is a must
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
