About The Position We are seeking a self-starter who has the passion and drive to oversee the many facets of our Tasting Room.
Candidates must be professional, articulate, hard-working, strong leaders who can handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and with a strong logistical and sales sense.
The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for and oversee day-to-day operations in the Tasting Room.
The position requires an outgoing, well organized, self-motivated, always seeking high standards in quality and disciplined individual who is focused on the customer's experience and able to manage a team.
Position Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Tasting Room which includes tastings, customer relations, reservation bookings, food prep and ordering, staff training, wine club, and e-commerce Coordinate staff hiring/firing, training, evaluations and supervise Tasting Room staff operationally.
Manage the execution, analysis of, and planning behind experiences offered to guests in the Tasting Room.
Ordering and inventory management of retail merchandise, food and beverages, and tasting room supplies (With Training) Develop an extensive knowledge of our Point-of-Sale System, Revel in order to train staff, troubleshoot problems, and accurately record sales.
Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers, and accounting for daily sales reconciliations.
Generate and maintain performance metrics to make informed decisions on products, organizational structure, and staffing.
Maintaining sales objectives while keeping to an expense budget.
Oversee shipping of product to E-Commerce Customers and Wine Club.
Communication of needs with other departments (Marketing, Bookeeping, Strategy and Planning).
Booking, communicating with, and requesting payment for musicians, security guards, and cleaning services.
Overseeing the growth and operation of the wine club.
Fulfill, charge for, and plan for quarterly wine club shipments.
Ability to regularly work weekends and most holidays Qualifications At least one year management experience in a tasting room, restaurant, bar, or catering hall.
Passion for wine and customer service.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office and ability to learn Revel POS Ability to communicate with and motivate a team of 15-20 staff 21 years or older with a valid Driver's License and work authorization in the United States.
Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
